HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL

We strive for the best


Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others. The Don Bosco School, Boisar is the result of great effort put behind by the persons with great vision and insight.

We appreciate the hard work and the efforts of Mr. Nicholas Murzello, Mr. Joseph D’Silva, Mr.Darryl D’Mello and Mr. Brandon Almeida, who’s dream of having an English medium school at Boisar. These four members with the same Idea, Vision and Thought formed a Trust named Infant Jesus Education Trust in 2002 and registered it under Public Trust Act.

Don Bosco School will always remember with gratitude Late Mr. Dilip N. Virakar, Architect of Khodaram Baugh Complex for the help and support. We can never forget Mr. Perzon Zend the owner of Khodaram Baug properties who generously offered the land for this great cause in making this dream a reality.

The foundation stone of the first building was laid on 16th December 2002. The construction of the school building started on 16th January 2003 and was completed and inaugurated on 16th June 2003. Honourable M.L.A. Late Shri Krishnaji Ghoda the Chief Guest, Fr. Michael Correa ,Mr. Zend M. Zend and Late Mr. Virkar were present.

The School started with the strength of 240 students in the year 2003 -2004 which comprises of 3 divisions of Jr.KG and 2 division of Sr. KG. and one division of STD–1. The management approached the Society of St. Ursula , Pune to take up the administration of the school. The Society of St.Ursula whose charism is to impart knowledge through education has many schools in an around the country. They happily accepted the proposal and collaborated with the Infant Jesus Education Trust. Sr. Theresa D’Mello took the charge as Head Mistress of the school and Fr. Michael Correa played a vital role for all this happening. As the strength of the students increased it was deeply felt the need to have a second building and it was constructed in 2008 . It was blessed and inaugurated by Rt.Rev.Bishop Dr. Thomas Dabre, in the presence of Late Mr. Michael Furtado, Chairman of Bassein Catholic Bank. Since then Don Bosco School has strive for the best in imparting the best education to the students.

Dear parents.,
I feel very proud to announce the exhilarating results of the SSC and the first batch of HSC for the academic year 2022- 2023, that has added another feather in the cap of school which signifies glorious successful tradition of 100 percent result of the school.
The Don Bosco School, Boisar has continued its legacy of glorious results with the 100% dedication for building the bright future of the students by discovering, developing and drawing out the hidden talents and the magic lying dormant inside all of our students. From academics to co- curricular activities, perseverance that is the mantra I CAN, I WILL, I MUST and a never-say-die spirit are entrenched in the heart of every student not only making them good students but brilliant human beings. We believe that education is an effective medium of social transformation and modification of behaviour with right attitudes.
The motto of our school is "Lighted to Light". As a principal of school, I extend my heart felt gratitude to our school management for their timely guidance, dedicated and committed teachers' of the past and present, non- teaching staff, parents, and students for the amazing and marvellous ways in which we have kept up the flame burn brightly.
We also believe that learning is a never ending process. We get encouragement, looking at bright and successful careers of our thousands of students, who will distinguish themselves by their academic excellence as the vision of the School goes "WE STRIVE FOR THE BEST".
I am very happy with the progress the college has made by creating an environment for future leaders, entrepreneurs, professional who possess skills and aptitudes in an array of functional disciplines.
" A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step " is a common saying. Keeping this in mind we are happy to announce that our school has begun the Nursery Play Group for the Toddlers without any deposits. It is a bumper inaugural offer for the parents to pay only the fees and grab the opportunity.
Along with the DBS FAMILY, I will continue my work to maintain the legacy of the school by building strong relationships with parents, and students who will carry forward the mission of spreading value based knowledge and the motto- LIGHTED TO LIGHT" entrusted in their hands.
To teach is to touch a life forever. My dear parents, I whisper a prayer for God's blessings upon each one of us and let us join our hands together to create a better world. May our patron saint Don Bosco lead us on.
